Welcome to the FAQ page for the Professional Speech and Debate Association (PSDA). Below, you’ll find answers to the most common questions about our classes, tournaments, and policies. If you don’t see your question here, feel free to reach out to us at admin@prosda.com.

1. What does the PSDA offer?

The PSDA provides speech and debate classes for adults (18+) and quarterly online tournaments. Our beginner classes are designed to get you ready for your first tournament, while more experienced participants can join advanced classes like Debate Club or jump straight into competition.

2. What events are included in tournaments?

  • Prepared Speech

  • Prepared Acting

  • Spontaneous Speech

  • Spontaneous Debate

Tournaments are a great way to put your skills to the test in a live competitive setting.

3. What is the refund policy?

  • Full Refunds: Available up to 14 days before the first class.

  • 50% Refunds: Available through the first two classes.

  • No Refunds: After the third class, refunds are no longer offered. However, we can transfer your enrollment to a different or future class if your availability changes.

  • If a class or tournament is canceled by the PSDA, you will receive a full refund.

4. What if I miss a class?

Don’t worry! We record all class sessions and will send you the recording afterward so you can catch up at your own pace.

5. How much do classes and tournaments cost?

  • Beginner Classes: $399 (discounted to $299 for the first 5 registrants).

  • Debate Club: $499 (discounted to $399 for the first 5 registrants).

  • Tournaments: $40 per event (no judging required; fees include judging costs).

6. When and where are classes held?

All classes meet weekly for 2 hours on Zoom and run for 10 weeks, skipping holidays. This schedule gives participants time to practice and implement what they learn each week.
