Tabulation Director

Are you detail-oriented and experienced in managing tournament tabulation? Do you have a passion for supporting the speech and debate community? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Tabulation Director at the Professional Speech and Debate Association (PSDA).

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage all aspects of tournament tabulation, including setup, data entry, and result calculation

  • Collaborate with tournament directors and staff to ensure smooth operation and accuracy of tabulation

  • Develop and implement efficient tabulation processes and procedures

  • Train and supervise tabulation staff during tournaments

  • Troubleshoot any tabulation issues and provide timely resolutions

  • Coordinate with the IT team to ensure seamless integration of tabulation software and systems

  • Assist in the preparation and organization of tournament logistics, including venue setup and equipment management

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in tournament tabulation, preferably in the speech and debate field

  • Proficiency in using tabulation software, such as Tabroom or Joy of Tournaments

  • Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills

  • Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment

Compensation: As a Tabulation Director at PSDA, you will be compensated for your valuable contributions. You will receive a daily rate of $250 for each tournament you oversee as the Tabulation Director. Additionally, you will earn a profit share of 5% for your work in setting up and preparing for the tournaments, based on the tournament profits.
